What is the NfCMC?
The NfCMC is a networking platform for migration interested groups and individuals in the region of Benin city and Nigeria at large. As an outcome of the project MiP the NfCMC is committed to empower and promote the perspective of Persons with Migration Experience PwME through empowering their active participation in any migration relevant negotiation and debate.
The NfCMC will in collaboration with its affiliate structures DERS SMwME and its diaspora partners engage in effective monitoring and dissemination of up-to-date information on migration at different levels. Its activities will target critical migration perspectives like root causes and responsibility for migration, impact of border policies, sovereignty and power relations, human rights etc.

History of MiP and NfCMC
The MiP is a project initiative of the Stuttgart based diaspora Network Refugees4Refugees (Verein Flüchtlinge für Flüchtlinge). The project being established in 2018 was meant to promote grass-root migration awareness beyond ongoing rhetoric with human trafficking as the exclusive problem of the migration tragedy.
With the project MIP location in Benin City being the hub of migration in and out of Nigeria, activities were targeted at promoting more practical engagement of returning Migrants (also deported persons) in grass-root migration awareness in the Nigerian society.
